Becks hints at hanging up his boots after World Cup in 2010

London, Nov 2 (ANI): Ace footballer David Beckham will consider his England future after the World Cup finals next summer in South Africa.

He is unlikely to make a formal announcement until the New Year, but he has hinted at a change in his thinking by revealing: "I've always said I'll always be available for England. I'd like to stay involved in some way, and if I'm not in the squad I'll work hard to try to give myself a chance to be in the squad."

"But you never know, it might come to the point where I will say enough is enough" The Mirror quoted Beckham, as saying.

Beckham left Real Madrid in June 2007 after signing a whopping 128 million dollar, five-year deal with Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy.

After the World Cup finals next summer, he will have just two years to run on that deal.

Beckham has become a key part of manager Fabio Capello's England squad.

"If I start a game then I'm ready, if I come on for 15 minutes, 10 minutes, or 35 minutes, I'm ready. I've always said that I accept that with this squad of players, with this talent in this team, I'm not always going to play and other players are not going to play," Beckham said.

"But with this manager and this system you always have to be ready. If I get a start then I'm going to be ready. Obviously I've got that experience of playing on the continent for big clubs and playing for England for quite a few years.

"And the manager must see that because he's not a man who just picks players to keep other players motivated and not be ready to be used," Beckham added.

Beckham has retained his place in the England squad under Capello. The Italian will look to make changes after the World up regardless of whether England is successful or not. (ANI)
