Ronaldo still unrepentant about 'winking' out Rooney in 2006 World Cup

London, Oct.31 (ANI): Real Madrid and Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo is still unrepentant about his a chat with the referee that ended in a red card for England striker Wayne Rooney in the 2006 World Cup quarter-final.

What added fuel to fire was the fact that Rooney winked at his Portuguese mates thereafter, suggesting that he may have wronged Rooney.

When asked about the "winking" episode, The Sun quoted Ronaldo, as saying: "I do it all the time - not just in World Cup quarter-finals. And I had done it many times before."

Whe asked whether he thought he had made a mistake, Ronaldo said: "Who, me?" he said.
