New Delhi, Oct 31: Answering a question at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, the former president of US, George W Bush said that he was 'sure' that Osama bin Laden was still alive and in hiding, and assured that United States would bring him to justice.

"I am sure he is alive. But he is not on TV, not leading any victory parades...he is hiding . Yeah, he will be brought to justice and he deserves to be,'' Bush said on Saturday, Oct 31.

This statement comes amid various contradictory statements from Pakistan and other international authorities on the status of the al-Qaeda chief who remains one of the most dreaded terrorists.

In Apr 2009, Pakistan president, Asif Ali Zardari said that his country's intelligence was unable to trace Osama bin Laden.

And on Sep 10, in an interview with BBC, Zardari said that Osama was dead despite Sir Robert Brinkley, British High Commissioner to Pakistan assertion that Osama was alive and was hiding in Pakistan-Afghanistan border region.

Again, on Oct 7 deputy chief of the US embassy in Islamabad issued a statement stating the Osama was in Pakistan and was using the country as a safe hideout.
