Fat Brits prefer diet pills to gym

London, October 31 (ANI): More than half of Britain's population has admitted they are overweight, however, they are not ready to go to gym, says a new poll.

The survey conducted for the British Society of Gastroenterology saw every one person in five admitting to binge eating.

Also, 15 percent said they would choose to take diet pills than work out.

"Obesity is an issue that needs tackling," the Daily Star quoted society president, Prof Chris Hawkey, as saying. (ANI)

Spending less in response to recession can make you fat

New Delhi, January 10 (ANI): American health experts are worried that people may gain weight despite reducing the amount of money they spend on food in response to the global economic crisis, as numerous studies have linked obesity and unhealthy eating habits to low incomes.The experts say that reducing food spending would mean that people cut back on healthy items like fresh fish, fruit, vegetables, and whole grains in favour of cheaper options that are high in sugar and saturated.....
