Security tightened around Islamabad Police headquarters

Islamabad, Oct.29 (ANI): Security in and around the police headquarters in Islamabad has been tightened following warnings from intelligence agencies that terrorists may target the high profile installation.

Intelligence agencies have warned that militants dressed as security officials may strike the building following which security has been beefed up around all the entry points of the headquarter building.

All officials have been directed to display their identify cards on their uniform to get into the building, The Daily Times reports.

Several new police pickets have been set up on all entry and exit points of the city, and officials are keeping a strict vigil on all vehicles entering or leaving the capital.

According to sources, agencies have also been directed to make effective patrolling in the city and keep a close eye on suspects.

They said the deployment of police personnel around strategic government buildings along the city's entry and exit points has also been increased. (ANI)
