Hooda wins trust vote in Haryana assembly

Chandigarh, Oct 28: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday, Oct 28, won the vote of confidence in the state assembly.

The veteran Jat leader, Hooda won the trust motion with 47 members voting in its favour in the 90-member House.

On Sunday, Oct 25, the Governor Jagannath Pahadia asked Hooda to prove his majority on the floor of the House within a week.

Chandigarh, Oct 1: Social activist Anand Prakash who is contesting in the upcoming Haryana assembly elections has apparently asked the Election Commission to allot an unusual and unconventional election symbol- a condom.The independent Karnal candidate who has been working for years towards HIV-AIDS awareness and rights of sex workers has opted for a symbol that reflects his agenda.However, the Election Commission that fails to see the rationale behind the candidate's choice has reportedly urged him to chose another.....
