Haryana CM to prove his majority in assembly today

Haryana, Oct 28 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will prove his majority on the floor of the Assembly today.

Protem Speaker Captain Ajay Singh Yadav will administer the oath of office to newly elected MLAs.

On October 25, he was sworn in as Haryana's Chief Minister for a second consecutive term.

Previously, Hooda has been the Lok Sabha member for four terms in 1991, 1996, 1998, 2004 and the leader of opposition in Haryana"s Legislative Assembly from 2001 to 2004.

He also served as the President of the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) from 1996 to 2001.

In March 2005, Hooda replaced Om Prakash Chautala as the Chief Minister of the State. (ANI)

Nuclear power plant work to start soon: PM

Hisar, May 19: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today announced that work on the nuclear power plant at Fathebad district in Haryana would start soon and described this as a step towards achieving self- sufficiency in energy.
