'Pak's claim of funding Taliban absurd, baseless'

New Delhi, Oct 27: Reacting strongly to Pakistan allegation that India was supporting and sponsoring Taliban, Defence Minister A K Anthony on Tuesday, Oct 27 termed it as 'absurd' and totally baseless'.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a defence function here, "It is absurd and totally baseless. India cannot support Taliban, which is the greatest threat to world peace."

In Bangalore, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna had also rejected the charges on Monday, Oct 26 saying, "We want Taliban and Talibanism to be totally eliminated."

Earlier, Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik in an interview claimed that India was fomenting unrest within Pakistan through steps such as funding Taliban fighters based along the border with Afghanistan.

if inida not use this chance,i mean not help taleban ,taleban only way to surrender to pakistan, then pakis will use this taleban againts to india .india help tateban indirecly.and kill taleban&pakis
