Woman killed for jewelery while on morning walk

Mumbai, Oct 27: The habitual morning walk for a 39-year-old woman turned into the last one after an instance of petty crime turned into a murder.

Two motorcycle-borne chain snatchers who wanted to rob Beena Dedhia reportedly stabbed and killed her when she tried to resist.

In the incident that took place at around 5:45 am in the Kalachowki area of Mumbai, the two robbers came up from behind and stabbed Tina while trying to get their hands on her jewelry and money.

Jatin, Beena's husband was also injured in the incident and was rushed to KEM Hospital.
