Malik 'convinced' that India is supporting Taliban

Pakistan Interior Minister, Rehman Malik
Islamabad, Oct 26: India- Pakistan war of words on terrorism continues with Pakistan Interior Minister, Rehman Malik saying that he was 'convinced' that India was helping Taliban create instability in the country.

During an interview to a TV news channel, Malik said that the India was among 'certain hostile agencies' which supported and funded the militant group based along the Pak-Afghan border.

Speaking on Taliban, Malik said, "There are certain hostile elements against Pakistan and there are certain hostile agencies which do not want Pakistan to be (stabilised)."

And when he was asked if he considered India was as one of the 'hostile' forces acting against Pakistan by supporting Taliban, he replied, "Yes, of course, I am convinced. I have no doubt about it. I was very open. I have given the full details."

This comes amid the tension between the two countries over the 26/11 Mumbai Terror attacks. India has been pressurising Pakistan to bring the perpetrators of the terror attack to justice while Pakistan maintains that it has not been provided with enough evidence to prosecute the accused.
