US says Blackwater doesn't have arms warehouse in Pakistan

Islamabad, Oct. 24 (ANI): US embassy in Pakistan has quashed media reports that private US security firm Blackwater has a warehouse in Islamabad, which is involved in illegal arms trading.

Earlier, a Pakistani newspaper had claimed that a warehouse in Islamabad - in the possession of a private American security contractor - was being used to store heavy arms and ammunition for the US company.

"Kestral Logistics is a private logistics company that handles the import of equipment and supplies provided by the US to the government of Pakistan. All of the equipment and supplies are imported at the request of the Pakistan government, which also certifies the shipments," the Daily Times quoted a US Embassy statement, as saying.

The statement also said that the media house which published the story had not contacted the embassy for any comment. (ANI)

Pakistan still doesn't have anti-terror operations capacity: US
