New Delhi, Oct 23:The Delhi High Court rejected the interim bail plea of Vikas Yadav, the accused in the Nitish Katara murder case, on Friday, Oct 23. However, he was allowed to attend his sister wedding ceremony on Nov 1 from 5 pm under the judicial custody.
The decision of the bench comprising of justices Anil Kumar and Vipin Sanghi came after Vikas sought three month interim bail to attend the function and perform the rituals of the bride's elder brother .
Vikas and his cousin Vishal were convicted on May 28,2008 for the murder of Nitish Katara, displeased at Nitish's alleged intimacy with Bharati after kidnapping him from a marriage party in Ghaziabad on Feb,2002.
The son of the Uttar Pradesh politician DP Yadav is also serving four year imprisonment in Jessica Lal murder case for destruction of evidence in addition to the life imprisonment in the Katara murder case.
