Thane, Oct 23: Latest reports suggest that the two people have died in the pipeline collapse near the Thane station.
Apart from this, 11 people were injured in the accident and two are in critical condition.
Railway Minister, Mamata Banerjee has also announced compensation packages for those affected in the mishap.

Thane pipeline collapses, Mumbai trains halted
According to TV news channel reports, a water pipeline collapsed and fell on a train in the Thane-Mulund routeat around 11 am on Friday, Oct 23, disrupting train services on the Mumbai Central line.
No causalities have been reported, and six people trapped inside a train bogie have reportedly been rescued.
Fire brigade officials and several workers have been rushed to the spot to clear out the wreckage.
Visuals of the accident site shows huge amount of water gushing out of the pipelines which could prove to be a hindrance to the rescue operations.
The authorities are trying to avoid further damage. The operations are aimed at quickly getting at least two tracks functional before evening in order to avoid any inconvenience to the commuters of the local trains.
Apart from the suburban trains, south-bound long distance trains to Bangalore, Pune and Chennai too would be affected.
