Goa blast accused named others involved, claims HM

Pananji, Oct 21: Before succumbing to injuries one of the accused in the Goa blast reportedly revealed the names of the others involved in blast that took place on Oct 16 near the Grace church in Margao town.

Malgonda Patil a member of the right-wing Hindu group, Sanatan Sanstha spoke to the police while he was being carried from one hospital to another in an ambulance, Home Minister Ravi Naik said.

"Malgonda Patil has told the police who was involved. Patil spoke to them while he was being carried from the Hospicio hospital (in Margao) to the Goa Medical College (Panaji) for treatment," Naik said.

"Some of it may be kept secret by the police, but he has named some people who are involved," he added.

Patil was severely injured in the explosion while ferrying the IED (improvised explosive device) on a scooter with an accomplice, Yogesh Naik.

However, contrary to the Home Minister's claims, the police have have neither arrested anyone or mention anyone other than the two accused in the FIR.

Government must clarify on terror threat in Goa
