CWG: NSG to set up high frequency signals centre

New Delhi, Oct 18: The National Security Guard (NSG) will set up an 'high frequency' signals centre for the upcoming Commonwealth Games here.

According to official sources, the signals would be set up in proximity to a Games venue and would maintain communication between the personnel deployed, the force headquarters and the NSG garrison in Manesar.

"The unit from the Special Ranger Group (SRG) will set up the logistics and communication facilities at the centre with assistance from the technical wing of NSG," an official said.

National Security Guard (NSG) Director-General, NPS Aulakh said, "Commando teams will be deployed during the Commonwealth Games for securing the athletes and the venues. The men will have the best training and weapons."

A team of NSG commandos specialised in anti-sabotage operations and sniper skills will be taking the entire Games related exercise under its cover, official said.
