Shanghai, Oct 16: After easy wins in the third round, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic advanced into the Shanghai Masters quarterfinals on Thursday, Oct 15.
Australian Open champion, Nadal who defeated Tommy Robredo 6-1, 6-4 said "I started the second set bad. So for that reason, later I had to play all the set under pressure."
Nadal has already won five tournaments in 2009 and with his Shanghai campaign, the top seed Nadal aims to grab another win. If he does win, it would be his first victory after the Rome Masters in May 2009.
Djokovic who raced into the quarterfinals after defeating German qualifier Rainer Schuettler 6-4, 6-2, said, "It was comfortable."
While the China Open champ Djokovic has set up a fight with Gilles Simon, the great Rafa will be clashing against Ljubicic.
