H1N1 claims 6 more lives, toll crosses 400

New Delhi, Oct 16: India's Swine Flu death toll crossed the 400 mark on Thursday, Oct 15 with six new H1N1 fatalities being reported from the country.

Out of the six, Maharashtra still continues to claim the highest with three deaths. Gujarat reported two deaths while Kerala reported one.

With these six fatalities the H1N1 death toll in India mounts to 405.

State wise, Maharashtra's casualty figure raises to 171, Gujarat's stand at 38, while in Kerala has reported at least 10 deaths.

Health Ministry also revealed that 152 fresh cases of infection have been detected in the country. Of the 152 cases reported during the day, six cases have foreign travel history and the rest are indigenous cases.
