Bihar: Maoists blast telecom tower

Sitamarhi, Oct 14: Maoists blew up a tower of a private telecom firm and torched a truck in Bihar's Sheohar district on Tuesday night, Oct 13.

According to officials, around 45 to 50 Maoists blew up the Airtel tower at Brindaban Bazar and asked villagers to stay at home.

They later set ablaze a truck after asking its occupants to vacate it.

Tight security arrangements have been made in Bihar and Jharkhand to avoid untoward incidents.

Baripada, May 22: Mayurbhanj police have arrested three Maoists, the main suspects of May 8 murder of forester Ravindra Nath Patra in Orissa. The Maoist gunmen had attacked the Sargada forest beat and shot dead the forester under Rairangpur range.
