NCP rules out tie-up with MNS

Sharad Pawar
Mumbai, Oct 13: NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday, Oct 13 ruled out any alliance with Raj Thackeray's MNS.

Speaking to reporters here, Pawar said, "Our alliance is strong and we need not worry. Our party won"t need MNS support on government formation and the Cong-NCP alliance will return to power with a clear cut majority."

NCP chief statements came after Congress felt uncomfortable of the growing intimacy between NCP and MNS.

Pawar said there were no differences between his party and alliance partner Congress on the issue of Chief Ministership if the DF was voted to power as Congress was contesting more seats than NCP.

Earlier, Sharad Pawar had said that MNS is gaining strength in the state but it will make a dent in the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance vote bank and not Congress-NCP.
