Every day Pak faces 9/11 like situation says Malik

Singapore, Oct 13: Pakistan"s Interior Minister Rehman Malik while addressing the 78th General Conference of Interpol said while supporting the global war on terror, his country faces a 9/11-like situation every day.

He added the country received little in return for this sacrifice.

“International cooperation with Pakistan in combating terrorism is not befitting [us]," said Malik while addressing the 78th General Conference of Interpol.

Malik emphasised the significance of tackling crime before it grew out of control.

“This is the lesson we have learned from the experience of militancy and terrorism in Pakistan," he said.

He added that Taliban's using sophisticated arms indicated that other countries were supporting them.
