Don't criticise Pakistan, it played well in the Champions Trophy: Farhat

Karachi, Oct. 13 (ANI): Pakistani cricketer Imran Farhat has slammed former cricketers for criticising the team despite its good performance in the Champions Trophy.

"A team should be criticised if it has performed below par, but if it has performed well, then it is not right to criticize them," The News quoted Farhat, as saying.

"Pakistan played very well in the Champions Trophy and unfortunately a few of umpiring decisions went against us in the semifinal which played havoc for the team," he added.

Farhat said that Pakistan's batting, balling and fielding was up to par against India and Australia.

"They bowled, fielded and also batted well in all the matches - especially in the match against India we excelled in all the three departments of the game. The team also played well against Australia," he said.

Imran Farhat is one of the Pakistani players who defected to rebel ICL and later got clearance from the PCB after severing ties with the lucrative league.

"I am in top form and 100 percent fit. I think I will soon come in the observation of the selectors and I hope I would soon find a place in the national team," he said. (ANI)
