Being booed is no problem for Drogba

London, Oct 13(ANI): Following criticism for his diving antics, Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has said that it is his fans at Stanford Bridge whom he cares about, rather than the fans who boo him elsewhere.

"I think the Chelsea fans appreciate what I do for the team, which is the most important thing. I always work hard for my team-mates. Other fans? Well, it's their job to dislike opposition players, isn't it? Being booed is no problem," The Mirror quoted Drogba, as saying.

Drogba has scored six goals in ten games in the season so far and had set up both goals during Chelsea's Premier League 2-0 win against Liverpool earlier this month.

The 31-year-old further insisted that little bit of body game is required in the game to have an advantage over others.

"I'm a target for my team-mates, getting the ball and setting up attacks - and scoring goals. Defenders also see me as a target because of this. When you play the game at great speed, it requires very little contact to put you off balance," Drogba said.

"And I'm never afraid to put my body in the way for my team, up front or in defence. People forget that I defend well, too!" he added. (ANI)
