London, Oct. 12 (ANI): England captain Andrew Strauss has hinted that he may give a miss to team's Bangladesh tour next year.
Strauss, 32, has played nonstop cricket since taking over from Kevin Pietersen in January this year.
He led England in two Test series against the West Indies, plotted an Ashes triumph over Australia and featured in 19 one-dayers, The Sun reports.
In November, England will fly to South Africa for a Test series against the world's No 1 team - and then face the Bangladesh trip and the World Twenty20 in the West Indies.
Strauss admitted that he could be one of a number of key players rested for the February series in Bangladesh.
"I don't know what will happen in the next few months. The South Africa tour is a massive one, and then we've got Bangladesh in February and March," he said.
"When we select that we'll see where we are with injuries, niggles and all that stuff. We'll sit down and decide the best course of action.
"We've a busy summer before the Ashes in Australia so there's a lot of cricket ahead. The key is to make sure players are fresh," he added.
"The Bangladesh tour is useful in our development. I'm not going to say I am definitely on it and I'm not going to say I'm not."
Although Alastair Cook is England's second choice to lead the team, Strauss believes that Pietersen could take charge again one day.
"I wouldn't rule it out. He's got attributes that make him a very good captain. He's confident in his ability, he's got strong views and has the ability to lead by example," he said. (ANI)
