US open to work with Al-Qaeda, Taliban members who cut terror ties: Clinton

Washington, Oct.9 (ANI): The United States is planning to work with those Al-Qaeda and Taliban members who cut-off their ties with these banned outfits, in order to resolve the Afghan crisis, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said.

"The US government is considering working with those Al-Qaida members who part their ways with the outlawed outfit and obey the law," The News quoted Clinton, as saying.

Clinton said the Afghan issue cannot be resolved only through military means and stressed that the reconciliation process would be started as soon as situation becomes suitable for it.

Sources said that Clinton, along with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden agreed upon the reconciliation process in a high level meeting convened in the White House on Thursday. (ANI)

Threat of punishment really does work

Washington, Dec 6 (ANI): A new study has found that a mere threat of punishment can banish freeloaders and encourage them to cooperate with others, thus transforming them into responsible members of society.Freeloader is a person who refuses to do work without valid excuses/reasons for being non-contributing to the work being done.Previous studies have claimed that while punishing freeloaders can increase their cooperation with others, the punishment itself was too costly and in the end, punishment wouldn't be worth.....
