Taliban claims responsibility for Kabul attack

Kabul Indian Embassy Attack
Kabul, Oct 8: Quoting Taliban website, Al Jazeera reports that the militant group has claimed responsibility for the Thursday, Oct 7 suicide bomb attack outside the Indian embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Apart from this, Taliban reportedly identifies the attacker as Khalid on its website.

Intelligence officials have confirmed to the media organisation that the authorities believe that foreign hands were involved in the attack.

Al Jazeera quotes officials as saying that the attack was planned by a 'state' and not 'a group of bandits'.

Kabul, Dec 8 (ANI): An international think tank has said that the Taliban holds a permanent presence in 72 percent of Afghanistan, but NATO denied the observation, saying the figures were not credible.
