Taliban claims responsibility for Kabul attack

Kabul Indian Embassy Attack
Kabul, Oct 8: Quoting Taliban website, Al Jazeera reports that the militant group has claimed responsibility for the Thursday, Oct 7 suicide bomb attack outside the Indian embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Apart from this, Taliban reportedly identifies the attacker as Khalid on its website.

Intelligence officials have confirmed to the media organisation that the authorities believe that foreign hands were involved in the attack.

Al Jazeera quotes officials as saying that the attack was planned by a 'state' and not 'a group of bandits'.

Big blast at shop in Afghan capital, several killed

Kabul, Mar 14: Four people were killed and eight wounded in a large explosion at an ammunition shop in the heart of the Afghan capital today, officials said.Several shops were destroyed in the explosion.''The blast occured in a shop selling gunpowder and other ammunition for hunting rifles,'' Ali Shah Paktiawal, head of the crime branch of Kabul police, said.Residents had earlier said the blast was caused by a suicide attack on an Afghan army patrol......
