Madrid, Oct 4(ANI): Injured Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo has been ruled out of Sunday's Spanish La Liga game against Sevilla after he failed to recover from the ankle injury he sustained earlier this week.
Ronaldo was injured during Madrid's Champions League game against Olympique Marseille on Wednesday, in which he had scored twice to lead his side to a 3-0 win.
Losing Ronaldo would be a big blow for the La Liga leaders as he has been in prolific form and has scored nine goals in the seven games played so far in the season.
Madrid manager Manuel Pellegrini will also missing the service of Lassana Diarra, Alvaro Arbeloa, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Fernando Gago.
The club is looking to continue their 100 per cent start to the campaign against third-placed Sevilla. (ANI)
