Arsenal fan logs six million miles to watch his favourite team play

London, Sep.30 (ANI): Arsenal fan Nesan Sinnadurai, a self-employed IT consultant, reckons that since 1967, he has clocked up six million miles to watch the club play.

The Sun quoted the Sri Lankan as saying that in the 31 years since he moved to the United States, he has spent 20,000 pounds a year to watch the games.

Last year, he spent so much time off work that he lost his job and a 400,000-pound home. Now he uses his retirement cash to fund the trips.

Nesan, who didn't miss a Highbury game for 12 years before emigrating, took his American wife to hospital in labour before a game.

He said: "She thinks I'm crazy." (ANI)

Liverpool's Benitez fears losing out in transfer window

London, Nov 25: Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has raised questions about the club's American owners' knowledge of the European transfer system. The Spaniard's relationship with Tom Hicks and George Gillett has reportedly come under strain because of Benitez's desire to strengthen the team. ''It's clear Mr Hicks wants the best for the club. So do I,'' Benitez was quoted as saying in the News of the World. ''We have been here for a long time and we know what the passion.....
