AP succession row: Jagan supporters torch buses

YS Jaganmohan Reddy
Hyderabad, Sep 28: The succession row in Andhra Pradesh erupted again on a violent note, as the supporters of YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the son of late CM, YS Rajashekhara Reddy torched two buses in Rajahamundry town on Sunday, Sep 27.

The agitators are believed to be part of the Jagan Yuva Sena a youth organisation set up by Jaganmohan Reddy.

The group, who were demanding that Jagan should succeed his father, were reportedly protesting against Amalapuram MP Harsha Kumar's remarks on the campaign for Jagan as chief minister.

On Saturday, Sep 26, Harsha Kumar had termed the campaign launched by the state ministers and others demanding that Jagan should be the CM as 'blackmail' and asked them to resign.

In another incident, people again claiming to be Jagan's supporters tore a banner carrying the picture of Congress president Sonia Gandhi in the party's Khammam district office.

This incident has invited the wrath of many senior members of the party who are demanding that those involved in this violence should resign.
