Deshmukh-Shinde's children in Cong Maha poll list

New Delhi, Sep 25: AICC in its third list, announced Union ministers Vilasrao Deshmukh and Sushil Kumar Shinde's son and daughter as Congress candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly polls.

Deshmukh's son Amit would contest from Latur city constituency and Shinde's daughter Praniti would appear from Solapur city central.

The others in the list include Anil Bawankar (Tumsar), Pankaj Guddewar (Brahmapuri), Chandrabhan Parkhe (Aurangabad West- SC), Jimmy Gonsalves (Vasai), Bhausaheb Bhoir (Chichwad) and Vaijanath Shinde (Latur rural).

Till now the party announced 163 candidates.

Mumbai, Sep 19: While Congress and NCP continue to hold talks to formulate an alliance ahead of assembly polls, Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have reached a seat-sharing agreement for the Oct 13 Maharashtra assembly elections."Shiv Sena will contest 169 and BJP 119 seats for the 288-member Assembly," BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde said."Our dream is to come to power in Maharashtra by ousting the Congress-NCP government.
