Pakistan PM confirms Hafiz Saeed's arrest

Islamabad, Sep 22: The Pakistan government has finally confirmed the arrest of JuD chief Hafiz Saeed on Tuesday, Sep 22.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani confirmed Saeed's arrest saying, "He has been arrested. We are ready to cooperate with India and want to solve all the issues existing. We will not allow any terrorist to us Pakistan soil for their activities."

According to Lahore police chief Pervaiz Rathore, Saeed's movements have been restricted.

He said, "We have put him under house arrest and told him verbally that he cannot move out of his residence. At the moment, he cannot leave the house."

When asked if the police planned to take more action against Saeed, Rathore said, "Certainly we will proceed further."
