Los Angeles, Sep 21(ANI): Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham has insisted that he should have scored a hat-trick during their Major League Soccer (MLS) game against Toronto on Saturday night.
Beckham scored once during the match and set up a second for Edson Buddle in their 2-0 win against the Reds.
"I should have scored three. I've never got a hat-trick and, if I was going to, then tonight was the night. But really it was about the team performance and it was really good," The Sun quoted Beckham, as saying.
Meanwhile, LA manager Bruce Arena said that Bekham put in a spectacular performance in the match, and as a senior he was in front to lead the squad.
"David was fabulous. He's a person with a lot of pride besides his outstanding ability and he did everything he could to lead this team," Arena said. (ANI)
