Al-Qaeda threatens Germany again

Berlin, Sep 21: After warning Germany of 'rude awakening' if the country did not withdraw troops from Afghanistan on Friday, Sep 18, Al-Qaeda has posted another video message for the country online.

For the second time over the weekend, the militant group critised Germany for deploying troops in Afghanistan and threatened of attacks ahead of the national elections, the authorities revealed on Sunday, Sep 20.

The latest video shows 32-year-old al-Qaeda messenger identified to be Bekkay Harrach wearing a mask.

Harrach was also the speaker in the earlier video in which he addressed German Chancellor Angela Merkel, saying that attacks could follow Germany's federal election on Sep 27.

Act fast, if not India may strike: McCain to Pak

Washington, Dec 7: US Senator and Former Presidential candidate John McCain said on Saturday, Dec 6, he believes that if Pakistan did not take necessary action against the individuals and groups linked to 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, India will conduct air strikes on select targets in Pakistan. He added that there is enough evidence of the involvement of former ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) officers in the planning and execution of the Mumbai strikes.
