Tall Crouch to conquer the world with his sporting achievements

London, Sep.19 (ANI): At six feet seven inches, Peter Crouch is arguably the most recognisable football star in England, but he is eager to be famous for his sporting achievements rather than his unique physique.

"I want to be remembered as Peter Crouch the World Cup winner, not just as the tall fella who did the robot dance," The Sun quoted the nine million pound Tottenham star, as saying.

Crouch has played only two of Capello's 18 games as England boss and while he scored both times, he remains on the fringe of the Italian's squad.

Capello suspects Crouch is too nice for his own good and prefers his forwards to have a nastier streak.

Crouch, however, is adamant that he is more than tough enough to survive at the very highest level.

He said: "You can be a nice guy off the pitch but I've proved in my career I can mix it with opponents and look after myself."

Crouch, however, concedes he could never 'do an Adebayor' and has turned his cheek in the face of fierce provocation.

"I'm just a person who has been lucky enough to be in this fantastic position of playing football in front of a massive worldwide audience. I've never lost sight of that fact and maybe that's why I've been well received by the general public," he said. (ANI)
