"Such unwise statements from the former president can damage the image of the country in international community" Hassan said.

In an interview with BBC radio, Hassan also rejected Musharraf's claims that he had not allowed the US to use the unmanned aircrafts against extremists inside Pakistan's geographical territory.

He said the former general's statement could have an adverse effect on the US aid being provided to Pakistan.

"At the time when Pakistan is combating the most difficult war on terrorism, his statement is akin to undermine Pakistan's efforts," Hassan added. (ANI)
