Aarushi murder: CBI detains two for questioning

New Delhi, Sep 16: Just days after the Delhi Police recovered Aarushi Talwar's phone and handed it over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), two people have been detained in connection with the murder of teenage girl.

Reports say that the CBI has detained a man identified to be Rambhool and his sister Kusum for questioning. Although the two have been detained, it is not clear if they have been arrested, said sources.

CBI refused to comment on the development.

The Delhi Police recovered Aarushi's black Nokia N72 on Saturday, Sep 12 from a town in UP and handed it over to the CBI which is probing the double murder of the girl and the family's domestic help that took place in May 2008.

Noida, June 7: A domestic help, hired six months ago, last night drugged a family of four and strangled a woman to death before decamping with valuables worth at least lakh rupees. Police said Akash alias Rajkumar hailing from Nepal, was employed by the Mainis at their Sector 50 rented house. Last night, he drugged the family consisting of Ajay Maini, his wife Sandhya, their son Rakshak (15) and daughter Sara (03). While he was making good his escape, Sandhya woke up.....

Dr Talwar brought to residence for investigation

Noida, Jun 3: Dr Rajesh Talwar, the prime accused in the Aarushi murder case, was today brought to his residence in Jal Vayu Vihar amid tight security for further investigations. The 15-member CBI team brought the dentist at his Noida residence in Sector 25 at around 1055 hrs. The CBI searched his house till 0100 hrs and questioned his wife, Nupur Talwar, to verify her earlier information. A day after taking over the case CBI also questioned suspended Station House Officer.....
