Corrupt employees will be forced to retire: BSY

Bangalore, Sep 15: Karnataka Government on Monday, Sep 14 announced that government employees with laid back approach and excessive absenteeism would be forced to retire from service.

The decision came after Union law minister M Veerappa Moily had observed that Article 311, the shield which babus use, needs to be revisited.

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said, "The legislative assembly with such erring employees will be shown the door."

He also warned, "A suitable amendment to the Karnataka Civil Services Rules will be brought into force, through which an employee will be dismissed from service if found guilty of laid back approach and excessive absenteeism."
