CBI refuses to divulge details on Aarushi's phone

New Delhi, Sep 15: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which is probing the sensational Aarushi Talwar murder case has refused to share any details on the murdered teenager's cellphone recovered by the Delhi police.

"Investigation is in progress. Keeping in view the interest of a fair and impartial investigation and also directions of the Supreme Court, the CBI does not propose to share any details with the media at this stage," said CBI spokesperson Harsh Bahal.

Aarushi's black Nokia N72 phone was recovered almost after 16 months since the murder.

The murder case hit the Indian media in May 2008 when the body of the teenager was found murdered under mysterious circumstances in her parents' residence, after which the body of the domestic help, Hemaraj was found too.

Delhi police recovered the cell phone on Saturday, Sep 12 from Uttar Pradesh's Bulanshahr town. A maid who worked at the Talwar house is believed to have taken the phone and given it to someone in the town.

Dr Talwar brought to residence for investigation

Noida, Jun 3: Dr Rajesh Talwar, the prime accused in the Aarushi murder case, was today brought to his residence in Jal Vayu Vihar amid tight security for further investigations. The 15-member CBI team brought the dentist at his Noida residence in Sector 25 at around 1055 hrs. The CBI searched his house till 0100 hrs and questioned his wife, Nupur Talwar, to verify her earlier information. A day after taking over the case CBI also questioned suspended Station House Officer.....
