Leh, Sep 14: A Jammu Kashmir government report says that the Chinese army has been engaged in construction activities the along the international border across Karakoram ranges in Ladakh sector.
Noting that this is the first instance of such activity after the 1962 stand-off between the two countries, the report states that the Chinese Army has been taking 'land in inches and not in yards'.

The Karakoram pass which falls on the Line of Actual Control, marks the northern end of Sino-Indian border. The dispute between Pakistan and India over control of the Siachen Glacier area immediately to the west of the pass stems from this spot.
