NATO fighter jets violate Pak air space

Islamabad, Sep 13 :Two NATO fighter jets entered Pakistan's airspace and remained for nearly two hours on Saturday, Sep 12.

The airspace violation took place in different parts of the Khyber Agency bordering the Afghan border.

The aircraft were seen hovering over Bacha Mina, Khwaga Khel, Sheikh Mal Khel, Piro Khel, Ashmali Khel, and Loya Shalman areas creating panic and unrest among the local residents.

This is the first time that fighter jets of the allied forces have violated Pakistan's airspace.

The Nation said that in the recent past helicopter gunship violations were frequently reported.

NWFP Government orders probe into attacks on NATO containers

Peshawar, Dec.8 (ANI): The Pakistan and North West Frontier Province governments have ordered a probe into the attacks on three terminals of containers carrying goods for NATO forces.Peshawar authorities were quoted by The News as saying that all three terminals have been sealed and a case has been registered in connection with the torching of Bilal Terminal.Sources said that some unidentified miscreants last night hurled explosives on Bilal Terminal, which set the terminal afire, gutting scores of trucks.....

NATO reviews Afghan tactics to cut civilian deaths

Washington, May 19: NATO is looking at its tactics in Afghanistan to reduce civilian casualties, which have prompted protests from President Hamid Karzai, the alliance's top commander said today. US Army Gen John Craddock said NATO understood that civilian casualties cost the alliance credibility among local people whose support was vital to defeating Islamist insurgents from the Taliban movement.
