YSR aide meets PM on campaign for Jagan as CM

New Delhi, Spe 9: One of the top aides of late Andhra Pradesh, CM YS Rajashekhara Reddy, KVP Ramachandra Rao met the Prime Minister on Wednesday, Sep 9, to bolster his campaign supporting YSR's son YS Jaganmohan Reddy as the next Chief Minister.

Rao who met Manmohan Singh at his Race Course Road residence reportedly spoke to the PM for 30 minutes. This comes just a day after Rao met with the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi.

The Prime Minister knows everything about the political situation in the state. He is also aware of the people's and party men's sentiments. I do not have to explain the details to him," Rao said after the meeting.

Rao also disclosed that the Prime Minister particularly asked about YSR's family and how they are dealing with the death.

"The Prime Minister particularly enquired about their state of health and whether the family members, especially his wife, have resumed their normal life after YSR's sudden demise," Rao said, adding that Dr Singh asked him to convey his condolences to all family members and supporters of YSR and party workers in the state.

AP Govt to hold PATA conference from Sep 16
