Faridabad building collapses, many trapped

Faridabad, Sep 9: A three storey shopping complex collapsed in Faridabad's New Industrial Township (NIT) Phase I area killing one person and injuring scores.

Many people are still trapped under the debris. According to reports, rescue teams are being assisted by fire fighters and police and the injured were immediately taken to the hospital.

There is no official confirmation on what led to the collapse. However, some reports suggest that there was some renovation work happening in the building which could have led to the mishap.

The police are still unsure as to how many people are trapped in the debris and how many have died.

New Delhi, Nov 26: The Lok Sabha today observed silence for a short while as a mark of respect to the memory of those killed in serial bomb blasts which rocked Uttar Pradesh last week. BPTP, HDFC tie-up for group housing project

New Delhi, Sept 22: Delhi-based realty firm BPTP today tied up with HDFC bank under which latter will provide home loans to investors for group housing project at Faridabad.
