Hyderabad, Sep 4: With latest reports confirming that up to 67 people have died of cardiac arrest or committed suicide following the tragic death of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Rajashekhara Reddy, the CM's son has urged the people to be brave and patient.

"I appeal to all of you to be patient and be brave in this hour of tragedy. He (YSR) wanted to see a smile on the faces of all and if you resort to such things (suicide) this will hurt him," said YS Jaganmohan Reddy, son of YSR.

"I request you not to commit suicide," said Jaganmohan who is now being projected as the next Chief Minister.

Initial reports said that about 30 people had died in areas like East Godavari and Chittoor after hearing the news of YSR's death. Now, the latest reports have estimated up to 67 such deaths.

YSR's body is right now in Hyderabad at the Lal Bahudur Stadium for final viewing. He will be later taken to Pulivendula where he will be cremated.
