Chandigarh, Aug 29: According to reports, a Class 3 girl studying at the Faridabad Model School was stripped off her top by the class teacher who made her walk from class to class because she did not pay her tuition fees.
The nine-year-old victim who was reportedly entitled to full fees concession was humiliated in front of her school mates who cried 'shame, shame' as she walked topless on Friday, Aug 28.
The girl who is a daughter of an auto-rickshaw driver had been given full fee concession by the district education department under a scheme for underprivileged children.
Speaking about the incident, the mother said, "The teacher then took off her T-shirt and tried to pull the skirt too. When she failed in her attempt, she paraded my daughter from room to room and made the children say shame, shame."
The principal of the school, however, maintains that the punishment had nothing to do with fees and said that the teacher has been suspended.
