Raje asked to meet BJP leadership on Aug 31

New Delhi, Aug 28: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) central leadership on Friday, Aug 28 asked former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje to report them in New Delhi on Monday, Aug 31.

Sources close to Raje said she will meet senior leader M Venkaiah Naide on Monday, Aug 31 to discuss the future course of action.

Naidu has been appointed as the pointsman by the High Command to defuse the crisis in the Rajasthan unit of the party.

Earlier, the party high command had given her time till Sunday, Aug 30 to step down as the leader of Opposition in Rajasthan for party's poor performance in Lok Sabha election 2009.

However, she has put forth three demands before she acceded to the party's decision. She wants her successor as Leader of Opposition to be of her choice, revocation of the suspension order against two of her supporters and a post for herself in Delhi.
