AIIMS receives a ragging complaint

New Delhi, Aug 24: Through a letter, All India Institute of Medical Sciences' (AIIMS) administration has learnt that the senior students are ragging juniors in the institute"s hostel.

In a complaint letter addressed to AIIMS director Dr R C Deka, and dean Professor Rani Kumar, junior and senior resident doctors have reportedly alleged that senior students at the hostel have been ragging their juniors.

Following this, an inquiry team has been set up to investigate the allegations. The team is expected to submit a report soon, after which appropriate action will be taken revealed Sailesh Yadav, deputy director (administration) at AIIMS.

This comes after an incident of ragging was reported from prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The varsity took stern steps against the seniors who indulged in ragging along with punishing the mute spectators present at the place where ragging was taking place.

Medical student beaten to death by seniors in HP

New Delhi, Mar 10: Giving shock to the nation a 19-year-old medical student was brutally beaten to death allegedly by his seniors. Aman Kachroo who enrolled at the Rajendra Prasad Medical College in Kangra of Himachal Pradesh in last Aug had complained that he was being ragged to his parents and the college authorities. Punish all those, who are behind this mind torchering thing-RAGGING.Also MCI should take steps to ban ragging in UP Medical colleges including KJMC LUCKNOW where ragging has become a rule.
