H1N1 claims another life in B'lore; toll up to 28

Bangalore, Aug 16: Yet, another 27-year-old died of Swine Flu in Bangalore, taking the death toll in the city to five and across the country to 28.

Shilpa Hegde, 27-year-old, became the fifth victim of Swine flu on Sunday , Aug 16 in St Johns Hospital in Bangalore.

Earlier, Shamshad Begum, a 27-year-old woman died of Swine Flu in Bangalore on Sunday, Aug 16.

Dr Abraham Chandy, chief of medical staff said, "She had a heart problem and was suffering from pneumonia. We had sent samples to NIMHANS, which confirmed the H1N1 virus."

The patient succumbed before the test results for from the centre could confirm she had contracted the deadly Swine Flu.
