Delhi metro derails, no casualties

New Delhi, Aug 12: A Delhi Metro train reportedly derailed on Wednesday, Aug 12. However, there were no causalities reported in the accident.

Thirty nine passengers were travelling in the train when the mishap took place at Dwarka station in south-west Delhi at around 3:20 pm, say media reports.

The accident happened as eight wheels of the trains first coach derailed soon after it departed and headed towards Yamuna Bank, said Delhi Metro spokesperson Anuj Dayal.

Stating that the accident took place due to 'manual error', he said that no one was hurt as the train was in slow speed. The driver reportedly started the train when there was no signal leading to the accident.

This comes a month after accidents reported from the metro construction sites.

Assam Company commences oil delivery from Amguri field

New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) Assam Company Ltd (ACL) has begun delivery of oil from its operated field in Amguri to Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) refinery in Guwahati, Assam, about 115 km away. The oil is being sold at the same price as a basket of crude oils with similar characteristics traded in the international market, a company release here said. The oil produced from Amguri is first trucked to Oil India Ltd (OIL) facility at Moran.....
