London, Aug. 11(ANI): A handmade bicycle, plated with 24-carat gold and adorned with more than 600 Swarovski crystals, has become the world's most expensive bicycle after it was sold for 55,000 pounds.
Swedish manufacturer Aurumania has made a limited ten of these golden bicycles, which are embossed with gold leaf and set into a leather badge, are placed prominently on the front of the bike.
"This is the world's most lavish and expensive bike. The limited series represents a cornucopia of delight and is one of a kind for one of the very few," The Telegraph quoted Bo Franch, Chief Executive of Aurumania, as saying.
A moulded leather saddle from traditional saddle-maker Brooks provides a nostalgic touch and the handlebar grips are made of hand-sewn, chocolate-brown leather. (ANI)
