London, Aug 11: Heather Mill, the ex-wife of legendary musician Sir Paul McCartney claims that she is just like Mahatma Gandhi, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King as she too faced persecution to speak the truth.
A report in femalefirst.co.uk quotes the 41-year-old charity campaigner as saying that she can relate to great and revolutionary world leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King as they all have suffered in order to uphold the truth.
"They were people who went through controversy to put the truth forward and they weren't afraid to fight and I can relate to that completely," she was qutoed as saying.
When the former model filed for divorce and secured a 24.3 million pounds pay out, she was labelled 'gold-digger' and turned into a hate figure. People alleged that she was only behind the money of the former Beatles' songwriter and musician, Paul McCartney.
