Brit men banned from wearing itsy-bitsy Speedo-style swimwear at theme park!

London, Aug 11 (ANI): Brit men have been banned from wearing an itsy-bitsy Speedo-style swimwear to one of UK's best-known theme parks, as the clothing are not suitable for a "family-friendly" destination.lton Towers banned the figure-hugging trunks, and ordered customers to switch to more "protective" shorts, after bosses decided that the sight of men threatening to reveal all in too-tight briefs is one thrill visitors can do without.

"After high temperatures over the summer, team members at the Alton Towers Resort have noticed that a number of men visiting the water park have been wearing tight swimming attire more suited to Spain than Staffordshire," the Daily Express quoted the company as saying.

"To prevent embarrassment among fellow members of the public and to maintain the family-friendly atmosphere at the resort, bosses have taken the extreme measure of banning these tight trunks, which are favoured by celebrities such as Ronaldo and Rod Stewart," it stated.

Alton Towers, part of the Merlin Entertainments Group, is home to two hotels, a water park, a spa, a golf course, and the 19th century Gothic towers, as well as the amusement rides.

"Our water park team observed an increase in the number of men wearing tighter trunk-style swim-wear," Morwenna Angove, sales and marketing director for Alton Towers, said.

"We feel this small brief style is not appropriate for a family venue so we are advising male bathers to wear more protective swimwear such as shorts.

"We are also looking into offering complimentary male waxing, which will ensure we preserve the dignity of all our guests," Angove added. (ANI)
